“For such a time as this” the Lord is offering us wisdom from his Word. This month we continue exploring some Scripture verses that seem to be especially relevant today. Guard these words in your heart for hope and encouragement.

7. Scripture tells us that, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Psalm 111:10). There is a healthy fear of the Lord that recognizes who He is and who we are. To act accordingly is wisdom indeed!

8. “For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God” (1 Peter 4:17). We are seeing judgment taking place in the household of God. It is probably just beginning.

9. In Luke 18:8, Jesus asks a question: “When the Son of Man returns, will he find faith on earth?” In so many problems we face in the Church and in the world, the issue seems to be a loss of faith. Faith is crucial, the foundation of everything. May we never lose faith!

10. Revelation 2:4: “But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember then from what you have fallen, repent, and return to your former works.” Let us remember, repent, and return!

Let’s ponder again this prophetic word which was received at the Women’s Day of Refreshment.

For such a time as this, you have been called, as was Esther of old.
Be careful how you walk, for the days are evil, says the Lord.
You are the salt and light of your time, says the Lord, even as the saints of old were in their time.

For such a time as this were you born.
For such a time as this were you born anew and graced with the Holy Spirit.
For such a time as this were you called and sent forth, says the Lord.

Redeem the time, says the Lord.
Prophesy to your generation, even as John the Baptist did. Say to them, hear the word of the Lord and obey the word of the Lord.
For I tell you that this generation is stiff-necked and hard of heart, says the Lord, even as the generations before them.
But I have called you FROM this generation, says the Lord, and I have called you FOR this generation, says the Lord.

Say not, other times were better; would that we lived at a different time.
No, for I tell you, this is YOUR time and this is YOUR day, says the Lord.
For the times and the seasons are mine, says the Lord, and I have placed you here and now, says the Lord, for such a time as this.
