Catholic Charismatic Conference
March 27-29, 2020
SISTER BRIEGE MCKENNA, O.S.C., was born in Ireland and entered the Sisters of St. Clare at the age of fifteen. At the age of twenty-four, she was miraculously and instantaneously healed of rheumatoid arthritis during the celebration of the Eucharist. Later in prayer she received the gift of praying for healing for which she has become so widely known. Sr. Briege was given a deep spiritual insight into the mystery of the call to priesthood. Along with Fr. Kevin Scallon, CM, she has traveled the world ministering to bishops and priests at retreats and conferences. Her books “Miracles Do Happen” and “The Power of the Sacraments” have been translated into many languages throughout the world. She will speak and pray for healing on Friday and Saturday nights and on Sunday morning at the Conference.
FATHER JOHN GORDON is a joyful witness to the Gospel and a popular conference speaker. He is Coordinator of Charismatic Renewal as well as Coordinator of the Office of Evangelization and Vicar for Pastoral Life for the Archdiocese of Newark. He was Formation Director at Franciscan University of Steubenville and has served on the National Service Committee. Fr. John has a passion for preaching and teaching the Word of God in the power of the Spirit and will cause our hearts to “burn within us” (cf. Luke 24:32).
FATHER BEAU CHARBONNET is a native of Louisiana. He often used lively techniques to bring the Gospel to life for his students at Rummel High from 1994 to 1999, all the while leading music ministry for CCRNO prayer groups on both the North and South Shores. Fr. Beau is pastor of St. Angela Merici in Metairie. He is a dynamic preacher and shepherd to both the older parishioners and children of the parish elementary school. His love of God the Father and Our Savior Jesus Christ is animated by an openness to the Holy Spirit! He has a special devotion to Our Blessed Mother, whose hand has been evident in the faith life of his entire family.
JEAN and JANICE CHARBONNET met while serving in youth ministry with NET Ministries and have been married for 20 years. They were inspired early in their marriage to “give God permission” to accomplish His will in their lives. Through moves, job changes and managing a busy family of five children, seeking God’s will has been their goal. Jean and Janice are a speaker couple for “Supper and Substance,” teach a series on couple prayer and are active in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal. They are passionate about encouraging others to move through life with the confidence and security that comes from knowing that God indeed has a mighty plan for our lives!
ALEX LORIO is Campus Minister and Theology Teacher at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, LA. He had a life-changing encounter with the Holy Spirit while on a retreat in high school and loves witnessing what God can do with today’s youth. Alex is a member of the Conference Steering Committee, leads the CCRNO Youth Ministry and has a Master’s degree in Theology from Notre Dame Seminary. He is a man of deep prayer, which is evident in his speaking and writing.
DANNY LOAR was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1988 and has been very active in the Charismatic Renewal since then. He has had three professional careers: high school and college history teacher, transportation manager in the chemical industry and 13 years as chief lobbyist for the Catholic Bishops of Louisiana at the State Capitol. He is retired but substitute teaches and serves as music minister at the Our Lady of Mercy prayer group in Baton Rouge. He will give testimony to his miraculous healing through the power of prayer.

Feast of St. Joseph the Worker
Jesus Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Praise Him!
Every Spring we do a fund appeal on behalf of the Conference. This year the need is greater than ever. As you know, we had to cancel this year’s Conference therefore CCRNO and the Conference do not have the income earmarked for operational expenses and salaries year-round. Without the Conference or prayer meetings, we have no income from any event, nor can we plan to hold any sizeable event soon.
We are very grateful to those who have donated their Conference registration fees back and for those who have already sent in a donation. However, without an influx of additional funds, we would not be able to continue the ministry for very long.
Throughout all this, two sayings have come to mind: One is attributed to Mother Teresa of Calcutta, “God has plenty of money.” The other is: “Whatever God orders, He pays for.” The Lord has sustained CCRNO for over 50 years and we offer thanks and praise for His provision. We are more committed than ever to sharing the grace of Baptism in the Spirit with the whole Church, but we need your help.
We know that this is a time of great economic suffering for everyone and that there are many who may be appealing to your generosity. All we want to do is God’s will…nothing more, nothing less and nothing else. We are placing CCRNO and the Conference on the altar daily.
I only ask is that you prayerfully consider this need and “do whatever He tells you.” If you are not able to donate at this time, please give us the gift of your prayers, which are very valuable to us.
Should you wish to contribute any amount at all, we thank you. All donations are tax-deductible.
God bless you,
Please Note! There is a fee for every session including the Friday night and Sunday morning Healing Session. Fee is for the Talk and Healing Service, not for the Sunday Mass.
