WHAT TIME IS IT?

I received a prophetic word in the summer of 2020, which I share here for your discernment (cf. 1 Cor 14:29).


THIS IS THE TIME (August 2020)

 

Like olives in the oil press you are being squeezed.

Like olives in the oil press you are being pressured.

Like olives in the oil press you are being emptied.

 

For now is the time and now is the hour.

Not a time of your desiring nor an hour of your expecting.

But this time and this hour have now come upon you and have overtaken you.

 

It is indeed a time of visitation, says the Lord; not a time of blessings and gifts, but a time of judgment and purification.

For my vineyard must be pruned, says the Lord, and my grapes must be pressed. This you are seeing before your very eyes.

It is necessary. It must be done. It shall be done, says the Lord. 

For now is the time for judgment to begin in the household of God.

 

All authority in heaven and earth has been given to me, says the Lord.

Every knee must bow and every tongue confess my Lordship.

Pretenders and imposters will be exposed and deposed. They will be seen for what they truly are.

 

My people in name must be my people in fact.

Follow me. Love me. Listen to my word. Obey my word. Acknowledge my authority over you and over the entire universe. Prove yourselves loyal followers of mine, says the Lord.

Do not miss this time of visitation, says the Lord; do not miss this time of visitation.

 

SIGNS OF OUR TIMES

 

It's important to try to accurately read and interpret the signs of the times. In any situation, I try to ask two questions: 1) what is God doing and 2) what is the devil doing? Another question would be, "What is the Lord saying to us in these circumstances?"

 

What have we seen, especially in the past two years? We continue to deal with the ongoing effects of COVID and its variants. We continue to experience much confusion and turmoil in the Church. We continue to see social and political unrest, economic problems, supply shortages and worker shortages. And in the last two years, we have witnessed a wave of rioting, looting and burning in our cities and streets and a marked increase in crime and violence.  

 

 

LAWLESSNESS


Especially since the summer of 2020, it seems that there has been a "spirit of lawlessness" afoot in the land. In some cases, it seems to have a definite anti-Christian and even Satanic aspect to it. Thousands of churches and places of worship have been attacked, vandalized, and even burned down. Many, but not all, were Catholic.

I was led to read again the passage in 2 Thessalonians 2 about the Man of Lawlessness. For a while at least, it seemed like restraints had been removed and the lawless one was having his way in our country in an alarming manner.  Around that time last year, I started to pray against crime, violence, lawlessness, and anarchy in this way: "For those who are opposed to you and to your law, O Lord, divide their counsels, confuse their committees, and defeat their designs!" And I continue to pray this same prayer as we move into 2022. For those so led, I invite your prayer as well.

GOD'S DISCIPLINE

I believe that this has been a particular time of discipline, judgment and purification. The pages of Holy Scripture are filled with accounts of God's loving discipline of his people. For those who may find this concept difficult to understand or accept, I would suggest a prayerful reading of chapter 12 in the Letter to the Hebrews.

WORDS OF HOPE

As I close, I also want to pass along some words of hope which have helped and encouraged me.

In 1 Thessalonians 1:10, we read that "Jesus...delivers us from the wrath to come." Jesus never stops being the Savior and Deliverer of those serve him. All praise and thanks to the Lord Jesus Christ!

Another word of hope and encouragement is from Our Blessed Lady, who said at Fatima: "In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph." We can be encouraged by this because she predicted the rise and eventual fall of communism, all of which took place in the 20th century. So, we can look forward to the eventual final triumph of her Immaculate Heart over the evils in the world.

Finally, a word from St. Padre Pio: "Pray, hope, and don't worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear your prayer."

Let us follow St. Padre Pio's counsel and continue to pray, remembering to pray for the Church, especially Church leaders; our country and its leaders; and for humility and repentance to come to all sinners...especially ourselves!
